Hello SHARE Golfers!
We are pleased to announce the winner of the 4 passes for a round of golf at Caledon Golf and Country Club is…. (insert drum roll)…Janine Speirs! Janine participated fully in our tournament by golfing, posting a photo, liking SHARE and donating – Congratulations Janine and Thank You!
Through this event we raised $3,615 for SHARE Agriculture Foundation – well short of our usual golf tournament proceeds but not bad for our first attempt at a virtual event!
In these difficult times every donated dollar raised helps SHARE to continue with its project work. SHARE’s work in Canada is supported by dedicated volunteers and administrative costs are covered by an annuity and investment income.
We hope we will be able to meet on July 19, 2021 at Guelph Lakes Golf Club for an in person tournament again.
Meanwhile, the SHARE fundraising committee is working hard to come up with creative fund raising events over the next few months. Look for an email update on more virtual events this fall.

After 20 annual in person tournaments, we were challenged as to how we could run our event this year. As we all know, 2020 is a year of many new experiences, so we decided to create a virtual tournament! Following are the results of our first ever SHARE Virtual Golf Tournament which closed August 31.
We are especially grateful to our virtual hole sponsors and supporters who stepped forward for this event:
- Halwell Mutual Insurance Company
- TD Canada Trust Agriculture Services
- RLB Chartered Professional Accountants
- Elinesky Schuett RBC Private Wealth Management (2 holes)
- Golumbia Printing & Golumbia Blinds & Shutters
- The Reid Girls In Memory of Ken & Lois Reid
We also thank the golfers who enjoyed a round in honour of SHARE Agriculture Foundation and have supported with their donations and raised SHARE’s profile by sharing their photos on social media.
