"I’ve been a director on the Board since 2015, however, I can’t recall when my volunteering and supporting of S.H.A.R.E. began. My grandfather was one of the founders and first directors.
I started on the project committee and love that we fund projects that provide clean water. With a passion for agriculture and a teacher myself, I’m fond of the projects focusing on education and growing food.
I want S.H.A.R.E. to continue to thrive and provide opportunities to improve the lives of individuals and communities."
In 2000, my wife and I went on a monitoring trip to Belize with a group of volunteers and were impressed with the S.H.A.R.E. philosophy.
I was always drawn to S.H.A.R.E. because of our ‘hand up' and not a 'hand-out’ principle.
Responding to opportunities to provide services to others has led me to volunteer since my 20’s.
Jim joins S.H.A.R.E. as a director in October 2022. Jim grew up on a farm in Stouffville Ontario.
