I have been involved with S.H.A.R.E since 1987. My father was one of the founding directors. I spent almost 20 years as the chairman of the project committee. During a monitoring trip to Brazil, I saw first-hand a project which had been funded 13 years earlier that was still benefitting from the pass-on-principle. I took a 13-year break, and in 2020 returned as the volunteer Treasurer. It is exciting to see a 10-fold increase in project reach during these years. I’m a trained electrical engineer who is full-time farming.

In 2000, my wife and I went on a monitoring trip to Belize with a group of volunteers and were impressed with the S.H.A.R.E. philosophy.

I started on the project committee and love that we fund projects that provide clean water.

I was always drawn to S.H.A.R.E. because of our ‘hand up' and not a 'hand-out’ principle.

Jim joins S.H.A.R.E. as a director in October 2022. Jim grew up on a farm in Stouffville Ontario.
