I have been involved in S.H.A.R.E. since 2012, when I joined the Project Committee as a University of Guelph student, studying International Development. I was always drawn to S.H.A.R.E. because of our ‘hand up' and not a 'hand out’ principle, as well as our commitment to sustainability, and working with local experts. I am now a member of the Board of Directors, and the fundraising Committee, eager to help S.H.A.R.E. grow so we can continue our work for many years to come.
In 2000, my wife and I went on a monitoring trip to Belize with a group of volunteers and were impressed with the S.H.A.R.E. philosophy.
I started on the project committee and love that we fund projects that provide clean water.
Jim joins S.H.A.R.E. as a director in October 2022. Jim grew up on a farm in Stouffville Ontario.
