In 2004 I became a board member and have chaired the project committee since 2007. In 2000, my wife and I went on a monitoring trip to Belize with a group of volunteers and were impressed with the S.H.A.R.E. philosophy of a 'hand-up', not a 'hand-out'. I have since travelled with S.H.A.R.E. to Belize, El Salvador and Brazil. S.H.A.R.E. is an amazing organization made-up of dedicated volunteers, which is why I enjoy being involved. I work for a large global software company and work with people from all around the world.
I started on the project committee and love that we fund projects that provide clean water.
I was always drawn to S.H.A.R.E. because of our ‘hand up' and not a 'hand-out’ principle.
Responding to opportunities to provide services to others has led me to volunteer since my 20’s.
Jim joins S.H.A.R.E. as a director in October 2022. Jim grew up on a farm in Stouffville Ontario.
