"I joined the Board in 2016 following 3 years on the project committee. I’m proud of S.H.A.R.E.’s pass on principle as my father-in-law, John Lyons, was on the Board for many years and I wanted to continue with a family tradition. My wife and I have participated in monitoring trips to Brazil and Cambodia. It was extremely gratifying to see farmers who experienced S.H.A.R.E.’s 'hand-up', growing rice and new crops, and how proud they were of their new ability. The well projects in Cambodia are a S.H.A.R.E. highlight for me."
In 2000, my wife and I went on a monitoring trip to Belize with a group of volunteers and were impressed with the S.H.A.R.E. philosophy.
I started on the project committee and love that we fund projects that provide clean water.
I was always drawn to S.H.A.R.E. because of our ‘hand up' and not a 'hand-out’ principle.
Responding to opportunities to provide services to others has led me to volunteer since my 20’s.
Jim joins S.H.A.R.E. as a director in October 2022. Jim grew up on a farm in Stouffville Ontario.
